Udupi, Mar 16: In anticipation of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, the district president of the BJP Yuva Morcha, Prathviraj, announced a significant event ‘Yuva Bharat’ convention scheduled for March 29 at 3 pm at Ajjarkad Town Hall in Udupi. The event aims to rally the youth towards building a new India. Notable state and national leaders are expected to grace the occasion, adding prestige and momentum to the cause.
Addressing a press conference held at the district BJP office in Kadiyali, Udupi, Prathviraj outlined a strategic action plan devised by the Yuva Morcha to secure victory for the party's candidates in the Lok Sabha elections. He revealed the appointment of presidents in five mandals across the district, along with the formation of dedicated teams of office bearers in Mahashakti Kendras.
Expressing over the selection of Kota Srinivasa Poojary, as the party's candidate for the Lok Sabha elections, Prathviraj highlighted Poojary's deep connection with grassroot-level constituents, particularly within the Byndoor Assembly Constituency falling under Shivamogga Lok Sabha jurisdiction. He emphasized the collective effort of the District Youth Morcha in ensuring the success of both the party's candidates.
In a bid to further youth participation, state secretary Vikyata Shetty revealed plans to engage the youth community aged between 18 to 25 years in the ‘Yuva Bharat’ programme. The primary objective of this initiative is to cultivate a fresh cadre of youth leaders dedicated to the nation's progress.
Shashanka Shetty, the district general secretary of Yuva Morcha, shed light on the party's innovative approach towards the election manifesto, titled ‘Sankalpa Patra'. Unlike previous practices of secretive manifesto drafting, this time, the party aims to involve the masses actively. Individuals can contribute their suggestions by dialling 9090902024 and downloading the designated app. Shetty encouraged participation from an anticipated one crore individuals, highlighting the inclusive and democratic nature of the process.
The press conference witnessed the presence of BJP district general secretary Raghavendra Kini and district spokesperson Vijayakumar Udyava, underscoring the collective commitment of the party towards fostering youth engagement and democratic governance.
