Mumbai: Goregaon Karnataka Sangha holds 63rd Nada Habba

Mumbai, Feb 26: Goregaon Karnataka Sangha celebrated their 63rd Nada Habba festival at Nandadeep High school auditorium, Goregaon east on Feb 25. The programme chaired by Nithyananda D Kotian, president of the sangha also consisted of an interaction and release of books. Ravi S Shetty, managing director of Sai Palace group of organizations inaugurated the event.

Surendra A Poojary, managing director of Sai Care Logistics Limited was on the dais as chief guest. Dr G N Upadhya, head of the department of Kannada at Mumbai university released the book titled ‘Mumbaiyalli Kannadada Kampu Soosuva Goregaon Karnataka sangha’ by Surekha H Shetty. Anil Shetty Elinje, managing director of Tricon Palimars   released the annual issue of the sangha ‘Mumbelaku’. Nalina Prasad introduced the book. Padmaja Mannur gave a brief description of ‘Mumbelaku’.

Anil Shetty said that Nada Habba is meaningful. Surendra Poojary commended the service of the sangha.

Bharath bank president Suryakanth Jaya Suvarana, former president and office bearers of sangha were honored.

Vice president of the sangha, Vishwanath Shetty, treasurer M Ananda Shetty, G T Acharya, former presidents Shakuntala R Prabhu, Payyar Ramesh Shetty, Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu, Gangadhar N Ameen Karnire, Rathnaker R Shetty, Ganesh Kumar, Vasudev Marnad, Hariprasad Shetty, former and current office bearers of the sangha and members were present. An interaction was held on the occasion.

Artistes from various organizations in Mumbai presented cultural programme.

Ladies wing members sang the welcome song and song of inauguration. Honorary chief secretary Sarita Suresh Nayak gave an introduction. Surendra Marnad introduced the guests and compered the programme. Sahani Shanta N Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
