Mangaluru, Feb 23: The CCB police, acting on information received on Feb 23, that an accused was illegally selling MDMA drugs to college students and the public near the Underpass, railway tracks, Bondel - Moodushedde road, raided the spot and apprehended the drug peddler. In connection with the operation, the CCB police seized 15 grams of banned MDMA drug valued at Rs 75,000, a digital scale, a mobile phone worth Rs 15,000, an auto-rickshaw, and Rs 1,280 in cash.
The arrested accused was identified as Mohammed Rizwan (34), a resident of Moodushedde, Shivanagar, Mangaluru. He had previous cases registered against him, including murder, robbery, assault, and drug consumption cases at Kavoor police station, Mangaluru rural police station, Konaje police station, and Kollur police stations.
The arrest operation was conducted under the leadership of CCB unit police inspector Sham Sunder, with the CCB unit officers and staff following the directions from DCP Siddarth Goel and DCP Dinesh Kumar, and guidance from Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal.
