Puttur: Irregularities - Tahsildar’s Court Orders Impounding of Sites

Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (SP)

Putur, Sep 23: The court of the tahsildar here has ordered impounding of five house sites sanctioned to the local municipal councillor, H Mohammedali and his close relatives, as it has been proved that the allottees of the sites have violated terms and conditions of the house site allotment and have disposed them off without authorization.

The court, which has ordered for taking back the five cents house sites sanctioned to municipal councillor, H Mohammedali, Jainabi, Zoharabi, Jainabi and K Safiya, and cancellation of the allotments, has instructed the ‘Bhoomi’ department and the local revenue inspector to take further steps to execute this order.

The court has completed hearing on the issue of violation of terms and conditions apart from disposal of house sites in question. At the same time, its orders on the criminal complaints filed against the concerned are pending.

In the meanwhile, Mohammedali said that the above order will be challenged through legal means. “I will appeal against the order in the court of the assistant commissioner. The site was allotted to me two decades ago. There is a standing order of the state High Court that the allotment of a site cannot be cancelled after three years. By issuing the above order, the local tahsildar has violated this order,” he claimed.
