Mangalore: Training Camp on RTE Act 2009 Inaugurated

Mangalore, Sep 22: The inauguration of training camp on inspection of Right to Education Act 2009 was inaugurated by Zilla Panchayath president K T Shailaja Bhat here at the CODP Hall, Nanthoor here on Thursday September 22.

50 representatives from 7 districts are taking part in the two-day Mysore provincial level training workshop.


Presiding over the programme Dr K N Vijayprakash said that the workshop lays emphasis on the need for understanding the importance of RTE act. This nation obtained the real freedom only after making education compulsory as per RTE Act, he said.

Gangadhar Reddy Bangalore spoke on the occasion. Philomina Lobo, joint director, principal, college of teacher education was the chief guest. Renni D’Souza welcomed. Umesh Nirmal delivered the vote of thanks.

    Good coverage. All the best. RTE has to be understood in a real context. What is happening in most of the programmes, some body reads the act and others have to listen to it. In the prgrammes organised by CRT and SICHREM the participants have every opportunity to express their opinion and raise questions. We also want more facilitators to conduct the workshops.
