Brahmavar, Dec 15: Krishna, also known as Kishore, originally from Bijoor and currently residing in Kukkude, has had another case of cheating filed against him. Known for befriending youngsters and innocent individuals, he has been accused of deceiving them.
Deenanatha Kotian, a resident of Mastinagara in Hanehalli village, is one such victim who fell prey to the accused Kishore. The accused gained the trust of the victim, showing intimacy with him, with the intention of deceiving him of the money Deenanatha received upon retirement from a central government job, proceeds from the sale of a house in Mumbai, and his savings.
Kishore allegedly took Rs 69.5 lac from Deenanatha, citing various reasons such as needing funds for his wife's cancer treatment and the construction of a temple, among others. Additionally, it is claimed that Shashikala, an associate of the accused, obtained a general power of attorney from Kalyani, Deenanath's wife, and secured Rs 15 lac loan by pledging the victim's house in a cooperative bank.
This incident follows a previous cheating complaint filed by a woman residing in Uppinakote against the same accused, Kishore.
