Udupi: Adani Foundation inaugurates developed infrastructure works worth Rs 15 lac

Udupi, Nov 30: Adani-owned Adani Power Limited TPP, which is operating thermal power plant in Yellur village, Kaup taluk, in hands with its CSR wing Adani Foundation, opened developed infrastructure works at Yellur village for the benefit of society.

Two kachcha roads, one at Bellibettu village and other near Kemendalu Higher Primary School in ward number 5 of Yellur village, concreted at a project cost of Rs 15 lac under the CSR fund of Adani Foundation, were inaugurated by Kishore Alva, executive director and president of Adani Group. Raviraj Rao, president of Yellur gram panchayat, joined hands while inauguration.

Speaking on the occasion, Kishore Alva said, “Yellur gram panchayat exclusively has received the benefit of infrastructure development works worth Rs 2.74 crores for the past 6 years under Adani CSR, in addition to other CSR grants of Education and Health. Considering the demand of villagers to develop the above said roads, Yellur GP had included in its annual action plan (Kriya Yojana) and submitted it to Adani UPCL for execution during FY 2022-23. Accordingly, these works were taken-up and executed by Adani Foundation. The works identified by GP in the present year’s action plan, are in pipeline and very soon it would be taken-up for execution.”

Later Raviraj Rao, president of Yellur GP, spoke and expressed happiness for the various development works that are being taken-up by Adani for the benefit of the larger society.

Dayananda Shettigar, Shobha Shetty, Harish Moolya, members of Yellur GP and Ravi R Jere, AGM of Adani Power Limited, Adani Foundation’s Anudeep were present.
