Mangalore: Three-Month Placement Training Programme Inaugurated at AJIM

Mangalore, Aug 31: AJ Institute of Management (AJIM) which is a unit of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust (LMET), released the institute’s journal with ISSN ‘Anveshana…Search for Knowledge’ and also inaugurated a ‘Three months placement’ training programme at the institute’s conference hall recently.

The programme was formally inaugurated by lighting of the lamp and the inaugural address was given by Dr B Yashovarma, secretary, SDM Educational Society ® and principal of SDM College, Ujire.

In his address, Dr Yashovarma cited the example of the founder of Apple, Steve Jobs. He highlighted on dissemination, certification and monetization of knowledge. He appreciated the efforts of the institute in bringing out a research journal with ISSN, He said that he was happy to note that the institute also took efforts in developing the personality of the students through the placement cell.

President of Association of Mangalore university College Teachers, Prof Ummappa Poojary and Sunil George proprietor, Asta Academy were the guests of honour.

Prof Ummappa Poojary addressed the gathering by highlighting that students should make efforts on a daily basis to improve themselves in order to reach the top. Also Sunil George spoke about the importance of placement training.

Dr G R Krishnamurthy, senior professor at AJIM, in his presidential address remarked that communication should be the focal point and motivation should come from within.

Dr Govinda Bhat, editor of Anveshana preluded on the Institute’s journal and Prof Surekha V Nayak, placement co-ordinator gave a preface on the three-month placement training programme.

Director of AJIM Dr T Jayaprakash Rao welcomed the gathering and president of student council Thomas T proposed the vote of thanks.
