Riyadh, Oct 22: Gulbarga Welfare Society (GWS) Riyadh chapter felicitated their visiting minority department leader Najmul Islam Ahmer at Shalimar restaurant banquet hall Riyadh.
President Mohammed Imdad Ali and core committee members Mohammad Mukhtar Jaghirdar, Tameen Alhasan, Mohammed Azharuddin, Dr Khaja Moinuddin, Mohammed Hisamuddin and Mohammed Adil, played an important role for organizing this event.
Najmul Islam Ahmer, representing All India Congress Committee, minority department, national office bearer, in-charge Tamil Nadu, was chief guest of the event. Syed Nasir Khursheed chief patron GWS, presided over the event. Many Gulbarga residents attended the gathering.
While speaking at the event, Najmul Islam Ahmer appreciated the activities carried out by the Gulbarga Welfare Society to help the needy by assisting in medical, education, self-employment, and vocational training sessions, and said that he was feeling honored being with Gulbarga community in foreign land. He thanked all Gulbargavis living in Kingdom for supporting Kaneez Fatima, Allam Prabhu Patil and Priyank Kharge during the elections.
He highlighted the policies and programmes of the Karnataka government under the leadership of chief minister Siddaramaiah. The audience applauded when he said that Kaneez Fatima and Priyank kharge ITBT minister are working very hard for the development of Gulbarga.
He also said, "Our chapters are working actively in major cities of the Kingdom. We all will join hands to help Gulbarga community."
The programme was flawlessly conducted by president Mohammed Imdad Ali. He highlighted the achievements of GWS and said, "We are trying our best to help the poor and needy people back home in Gulbarga and also helping professionals to upgrade themselves here in the Kingdom by providing technical trainings and socialize the youth."
Vice president Mukhtar Jaghirdar said," We are feeling great as our youth leader is with us." He highlighted the importance of education, which is key to better society and strong tool to empower the community. General secretary Azhar briefed about the aims and objectives of the society and highlighted the importance of charity and role in society to help others.
During the event, a flower bouquet and memento as token of appreciation was presented to the chief guest Najmul Islam Ahmer for his distinguished contribution and services for the Gulbarga community.
The programme started with recitation of Holy Quran by Mohammad RehanUddin, and Dr Khaja Moinuddin coordinator delivered welcome speech. He welcomed the chief guest and all distinguished guests by expressing his gratitude. The vote of thanks was delivered by vice president Tameem Alhassan. He expressed his deep sense of appreciation to Najmul Islam Ahmer for sparing time for the event. On behalf of GWS, he expressed sincere gratitude to all the attendees. He also thanked the president and executive committee for their untiring efforts to make the event successful.
