Mangaluru: NSS annual special camp organized by Milagres PU College

Mangaluru, Oct 11: The NSS annual special camp was organized by Milagres PU College at Nithyadar English Medium High School. 
 
Vani V Alva, the commissioner of the municipal council, Ullal inaugurated the camp. Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, the correspondent, Milagres Educational institutions, presided over the inaugural programme, Fr Antony Lasrado, correspondent, Nithyadar English Medium High School was the chief guest.
 
Vani V Alva, in her inaugural address, spoke on the motto of an annual special camp. "Youth for the clean environment and healthy society" is a motivation for the youngsters to be environmentalists and to fight against the environmental pollution, she said adding all the programmes of the camp are connected with the motto of the camp.  
 








































 
 
Fr Bonaventure Nazarath, correspondent, Milagres Educational Institutions, in his presidential address, gave an example of the Dead Sea which is also called the 'sea of death' because there is no life in it. "The service provides life to a person which is similar to the life in the fresh water that flows.  We should explore new things in life and let the water flow in different directions That way our life will turn interesting and it will not turn out to be like the Dead Sea," he said. 
 
Fr Antony Lasrado was the chief guest. In his address, he clearly told about the functions of NSS as a part of academic activity. He said, "Everyone should promote the activities of NSS."
 
Principal Melwin Vas, encouraged the students to take an active part in the NSS camp. 
 
Kiran D'Souza, NSS programme officer, welcomed the gathering and Mohammed Shakib Khan, student leader of NSS proposed a vote of thanks. Swapnil, NSS volunteer compered the programme.
 
As many as 50 volunteers are a part of the camp. The programme was compared by Swapnil of II HEBA 'A'.
 
Sr Pramila Rodrigues, headmistress, English Medium High School, John Monteiro, vice-president of Nithayadar church, Melwin Vas, principal, Milgres PU College, Kiran D'Souza, lecturer and NSS programme officer, Siggi D Perumayan, lecturer in physical education and Teena Caroline D'Silva, president, ICYM Nithyadar Unit, were present.
