M'lore: Konkani Prachar Sanchalan to Organize Konkani Manyata Divas in City on Aug 25

Mangalore, Aug 22: Konkani Prachar Sanchalan will be organizing Konkani Manyata Divas at St Aloysius College (SAC) auditorium, here on Thursday August 25 at 4.00 pm.

About 67 students of class 10  who are studying Konkani as third optional subject will be felicitated at the occasion.

Mangalore town south division BJP president Srikar Prabhu will be the chief guest of the occasion. Deputy Director of Public Instructions (DDPI) Moses Jayashekar, SAC rector Fr Joseph Rodrigues will be the guests of honour.

Vastu Shastir, the first ever Konkani book on Vastu by Alexander F D’Souza will also be released at the occasion. Variety of cultural shows will be presented by Kalakul trained artistes as part of entertainment programmes.

Konkani Prachar Sanchalan chairman Roy Castelino will preside over the programme.

Konkani Manyata Divas is being celebrated across the nation, to mark the occasion of Konkani being included in eighth schedule of Indian Constitution on August 20 1992.
