Udupi, Aug 17: Entrepreneur and social worker, Shiriyara Melmane Harshavardhan Hegde (47), breathed his last due to cardiac arrest at his residence on Tuesday August 16. Hegde, who was popularly known as Appanna, was a taluk panchayat member representing Shiriyara constituency.

He was a former member of Shiriyara gram panchayat. He is survived by wife and a daughter.
