Mangaluru, Aug 18: Yenepoya School of Allied Health hosted a week-long event dedicated to spreading awareness about the pressing issue of ragging, as part of the Anti-Ragging Awareness Week Program was held on August 16 and 17. Lt Col Pankajakshan (Retd) was the chief guest. The event had the reforming talks followed by the prize distribution, and documentary and short film screening.

Lt Col Pankajakshan (Retd), shed light on the multifaceted negative consequences of ragging, particularly on the vulnerable youth and adolescents in his address, while emphasizing the pivotal role of proactive students in curbing such practices and creating a conducive environment for learning. The talk was followed by the screening of the documentaries and short films released by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The event aiming to underscore the importance of eradicating ragging and creating a safe and nurturing environment recognised and provided a platform for the students' creative expressions in the form of slogan writing, essay writing, poster making, and logo designing competitions revolving around the central theme of anti-ragging. Spoorthi delivered the closing vote of thanks emphasizing the need for continuous awareness and action to ensure a safe and respectful educational environment.
