Kundapur: 77th Independence Day celebrated at Don Bosco School

Kundapur, Aug 15: With the theme, 'Into that Light of Freedom, Let my country awake', India's 76th Independence Day was celebrated in a grand manner in the school.

The chief guest for the flag hoisting ceremony was Basavaraj Kanashetty, police sub-inspector of Gangolli police station.

The chief guest for the cultural programme was Rajesh Mogaveera, retired army officer and currently panchayat development officer. Citing his personal life example, Rajesh encouraged the students to give their best in whatever profession they choose. He also appreciated the multifarious talents of the students in various cultural events and the stage management by the students.

The students of classes 9 to 12 put up a well rehearsed and a grand programme that was highly appreciated by that chief guests.

Teachers and students were appreciated for coming up with fine performances.
