Monterrey (Mexico), Aug 5 (IANS/EFE): Two men were hung by their feet from a highway bridge in the northern Mexican town of Allende and then shot dead, an official said.
The two men in their mid-to-late 20s were hung by one of their feet before their assailants opened fire, a security spokesman in Nuevo Leon state said Thursday.
The victims were then left hanging from the bridge over the Panamerican Highway in Allende, a town some 60 km south of the industrial city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon's capital.
The gunmen also left a message, which authorities did not make public, on a wall of the bridge.
The double murder occurred not far from the home of the family of Nuevo Leon's social development secretary, Juana Aurora Cavazos, whose nieces were found dead Monday.
