Mangaluru: Felicitation to VTU Rank holders of 2023 at PACE held

Mangaluru, Aug 8: Under the patronage of Abdulla Ibrahim, a felicitation program for Feenah Hakeem and Harshitha N Settygar for securing 5th rank and 6th rank, respectively in VTU in BE (Biotechnology) for the academic year 2022-2023 was held on Tuesday, August 8 at PACE Auditorium, P A College of Engineering Mangaluru.

The dignitaries for the day were Sarfuddin, AGM, P A Educational Trust, Dr Ramis M K, principal, PACE, Dr Surfraz J Hashim, principal, PAFGC, Dr Saleemulla Khan, principal, PACP, Dr Sajeesh Regunathan, principal PAIP, Prof K P Soofie, principal, PAPT, Dr Sayyad Ameen, dean (SA) & director-MBA, Dr Sharmila Kumari, vice-principal and Dr Krishna Prasad N, head, Department of Biotechnology Engineering, Fawaz, and Yajnesh, executive members, PACE, Alumni Association.

Dr Surfraz J Hashim, principal, P A First Grade College shared his thoughts on how to succeed in life and congratulated the achievers. He mentioned the founder chairman's vision and congratulated Feenah Hakeem and Harshitha N Settygar for fulfilling the vision of founder chairman by securing ranks in VTU examination 2023.

Yajnesh, in his talk, encouraged students to become the next Feenah Hakeem and Harshitha N Settygar from PACE.

Dr Ramis M K, principal, presided over the programme. In his presidential address, Dr Ramis, principal of PACE, urged students to stay up-to-date with knowledge which, he added, would help in achieving higher goals. He motivated the students with his own journey towards success and advised them to dream big and be ready for the opportunities.

He also said how important it is not be choosy in picking the carrier, grab what comes in the way and spoke on the famous saying, "Never see the failure at the beginning and middle of your journey as at the end, it’s just a beginning of a success."

On the occasion the college news bulletin was inaugurated. Dr Sharmila Kumari, vice principal, welcomed the gathering. Dean (Student Affairs) PAET, Dr Sayyed Ameen Ahmed, heads of various departments Dr Prashant Pai, Dr Palaksappa, Dr Abdul Majid, Prof Mohammed Hussain, Prof John Valder, Prof Ismail Shaffi, Dr Mitra, Prof Razeena and Prof Abdul Majeed were present.

Dr Sayyed Ameen Ahmed, Ismail Shaffi, HoD, Physics and coordinator of co-scholastic activities, Dr Iqbal, physical director and Dr Ronald Valder coordinated the programme. Bushaira compered the programme and Mohammed Shafique invoked God’s blessings. Dr Krishna Prasad N proposed a vote of thanks.
