Udupi, Jun 12: The central library of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal organized session on ‘Enabling students with IEEE project topics through IEEE Xplore awareness session’ by M S Srinivasa, training manager, EBSCO Information Services.

As many as 60 students participated in the session. The main intension behind organizing the session is to give an idea about how good topics for projects could be selected through IEEE. The resource person of the session gave detailed explanation on searching different good project topics in IEEE Explore. He also explained lots of features available in IEEE Explore.

Once the session was over, quiz was conducted for the students to know how much knowledge they have gained from the session. Based on the scores, for 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners attractive IEEE products have been given as prizes. For all students who have attended the sessions, IEEE product was distributed as a token of gratitude by the resource person.

Principal Prof Dr Thirumaleshwar Bhat distributed the price to the winners. Sowmya S, library coordinator and Deepak, librarian, Central Library, SMVITM coordinated the event.
