Mangaluru, Jun 5: On June 1, the students of St Agnes CBSE School Mangaluru witnessed a glorious welcome back to school to begin the new academic year with new zeal and enthusiasm.
The cabinet, deputy leaders and volunteers along with the teachers were happy to receive the tiny tots with walking extra mile to make them comfortable back to school. The decorative entrance added to the merriment of the children holding placards displaying the goals of the school to achieve big and dancing to the tune of the music with assuring students and parents to feel at home. The warm welcome given to students by their respective class teachers added to the fun of back to school.
The grade I students who entered the campus for the first time were given a spectacular welcome with making them comfortable with playing sport games, fun and dance and were led to the respective classes by students of higher grade. Each student was given a welcome kit to mark the beginning of academic era.
The formal assembly was a grand affair with a meaningful prayer service followed by welcome dance and formal welcome by Daphne D’Souza. The school welcomed the new principal Sr Maria Sarika AC who would be rendering her service from this academic year to this institution. A motivational skit on values was presented by the students. The newly appointed teachers were introduced and given a warm welcome by the principal and teachers.
Sr Sarika in her addressing speech informed the students to abide by the values and be strong. Sh said, "Apart from academics, also take part in all the activities of the school." She assured that she would provide her valuable guidance wherever and whenever required.
As a token of new beginning sweets were distributed to the students, teachers and non-teaching staff.
The entire programme was well coordinated with the joint effort by teachers PE trainers and students.
