Siddaramaiah congratulates Congress MLC K Govindaraj for being elected as FIBA president

Bengaluru, May 23: Congress MLC K Govindaraj has been elected as the President of the Federation of International Basketball Association (FIBA), Asia.

Govindaraj is presently serving as Vice President of the Indian Olympic Association and President of the Basketball Federation of India.

He had served as Political Secretary of present Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during the previous regime from 2013 to 2018.

Siddaramaiah has congratulated Govindararj on his election and described that it is a matter of pride for Karnataka that a Kannadiga has become the President of FIBA, Asia.
