Bangalore: Security Guard Rapes 15-yr-old Daughter, Escapes


Bangalore, Jul 13 (Express News): A 39-year-old security guard allegedly raped his 15-year-old daughter in Sadashivanagar police station limits. The accused, Vikram Joshi, a native of Nepal, is absconding after the incident and the police are searching for him.

According to police, Joshi was working as a security guard since the six years in the city and was staying with his second wife, Mouna, and his two children in a shed at Sadashivanagar.

The victim, a student of VII standard, is the daughter of Joshi's first wife who is in Nepal. On Sunday, Mouna, who works as a maid, had gone to work while Joshi, the victim and her brother were at home.

Joshi, who asked his son to play outside and allegedly raped his daughter but she did not inform anybody about it.

Again on Monday, when she was leaving to school, Joshi allegedly raped her. However, the victim went to school but when she returned home in the evening she complained to her mother of severe stomach ache.

After Mouna enquired her, she narrated the incident, the police gave details.

"Enraged by his inhuman act, Mouna assaulted Joshi and he absconded after this incident. On Tuesday, Mouna filed a rape case against Joshi," police said.

The victim was subjected to medical test and Sadashivanagar police have launched a search operation to arrest the accused Joshi. Further investigatios are on.
