New Delhi, July 11 (IANS) India will take on Pakistan in a three-match football series in England next month. The series, to start Aug 25, will be played in Manchester, Coventry and London.
Praful Patel, president of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), Monday said the series has been dubbed as 'Clash of the Titans - India-Pakistan UK tour'.
"Playing Pakistan is always special. It's a positive sign that we will play a bilateral football series against Pakistan. I'm sure all sporting fans are eagerly looking forward to it," he said.
The Indian team will get 10,000 pounds as appearance money per match.
This is the first-time India would be playing a three-match series against Pakistan at a neutral venue. The last time the two nations were involved in a three-match football series was in 2005 in Pakistan.
The tour is being organised by TouchSky Sports, a FIFA and UEFA Licensed Match and Player Agency.
