Sullia, Apr 9: This house has a placard stuck to its gate in Kannada that bars entry of politicians from all parties into its compound. Yes, there's a house in Ajjavara of Sullia taluk that has put up this notice on its gate.
Also, many banners are seen in different parts of Sullia that have been put up by the citizens that give a call to boycott the upcoming elections.
However, this house in Ajjavara has expressed anguish and made it clear that no politicians are allowed entry into their compound/ premises.
This house belongs to Gopalakrishna and his family which live in Mundoli Moole of Ajjavara in Sullia taluk. The family is up in arms against politicians as they had provided the required soil from their agricultural land to undertake road works but haven't had their problems resolved.
A large amount of soil has got stuck in storm water drains due to the rainfall thus resulting in the water getting stagnated in their agricultural land. Despite submitting repeated requests to set this right so far no action has been taken and the problem has not been resolved.
Sullia MLA had also assured Gopalakrishna and his family members that the water problem would be sorted out under the Ganga Kalyana scheme. So far, the problem has remained unresolved.
