Mangaluru, Mar 1: Mount Carmel Central School organized a seminar on ‘Live your Dream: The challenge in modern day’ for the students of grade X and XII (2023-24) at the school auditorium. The session was delivered by Royal Praveen D'Souza, assistant professor, department of computer science, St Aloysius College.
Royal Praveen D'Souza began the session by stating the importance of having a goal. He proceeded by encouraging students to question themselves every day, and ask where they wished to see themselves ten years ahead. He stressed on the need of remaining focussed on their studies and prepare well for the Board exams, with an eye on competitive exams.
He further spoke of a challenge that has cast it shadow over the present generation and shed light on how addiction to smoking, alcohol, mobile and social media, has become prevalent in today’s society. He spoke of its ill-effects and advised students to remain cautious of these habits to safeguard their health and future.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks and the students dispersed, enriched and motivated to pursue their dreams.
