Panaji: Rough Weather Expected off Goa Coast: IMD


Panaji, Jun 13 (PTI) Expecting rough weather off Goa coast, the Indian Meteorological Department has asked fishermen not to venture in the waters and return to shore immediately if they are in mid-sea.

IMD's weather bulletin said the sea would be rough for the next 24 hours with winds expected to cross speed of 45 to 50 km/hr.

"Sea will be rough with South Westerly waves.

Fishermen are advised not to go out in the sea during next 24 hours," the bulletin said.

The department has also predicted intermittent spell of rain or thundershowers with heavy rains in some areas.

The same warning holds for fishermen of South Maharashtra as well, it said.
