Mangalore: First Ever Beary Movie Hits Silver Screen

Mangalore, Jun 9: First movie in Beary language ‘Byari’ a project of Thannir Films was released at Prabath Talkies here in the city on Thursday June 9. The formal ceremony of the movie release was organized at Prabath talkies here.
Abdul Rehman of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy presided over the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that as film is a powerful media, the languages which are facing threat in modern world including beary will regain its essence through such efforts.
Coastal Development Authority chairman B Nagaraj Shetty who was the chief guest on the occasion said that the movie ‘Byari’ has already been screened in the film festivals at Thrissur and Delhi. No doubt the movie will evoke good response in its native region, he noted and added that everyone in the region should watch the movie irrespective of their mother tongue in order support to such upcoming movie-makers.
KPCC secretary Ivan D’Souza, Moideen Bava, Vijay Kumar Kodialbail and Vijaykumar Shetty among others were present as chief guests.
Popular Malayalam actor Mummukoya, Rahim Ucchil, Mazeed, Prajesh, Sudarshan, Sharif Katipalla, Shamsuddin, Kabir Katipalla, Baby Shantha, Mallika, Ambika Mohan, Ashwathi, Roopa Varkady, Asha, Asfiya, KTS Padanna, Althaf Krishnapur, Batthisha Puttur, Annath and Baby Aizin among others have acted in the movie. The story is by Irfan Chokkabettu and dialogue by Ibrahim Tannirbavi. Songs by Shivadas Purameri are sung by Manjari with music by Vishwajith. The movie is directed by Suveeran.
The first ever Beary movie was also released at Big Cinema.
