Mangaluru, Feb 9: Lourdes Central School, Bejai, the pioneering CBSE Co-educational school of the city will be celebrating its silver jubilee on February 11 to commemorate the 25 glorious years of education par–excellence. The school has organized a two-day inaugural celebration in the school grounds.
On February 10, a thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration is organized at 5 pm. The main celebrant will be most Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangalore and president of the Catholic Board of Education. The clergy along with Catholic students, parents, Bejai parishioners and well-wishers will join together for the thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration.

On February 11 the silver jubilee Inauguration ceremony will commence at 8.30am in the School grounds. Fr Antony M Shera, secretary Catholic Board of Education will preside over and Giselle Mehta, IRS, author and entrepreneur will be the chief guest for the occasion. The event is expected to have over three thousand guests comprising of parents, students, dignitaries of the district and special invitees. The programme will showcase various entertaining presentations by the students. The highlight of the programme is a dance drama 'Shimmer and shine Oh School of mine', comprising of more than 140 participants, depicting the Journey of Lourdes Central School from its inception. Other special features are honouring the meritorious students, an amusing comedy skit, colourful display of folk dances of India and a lot more, said Fr Robert D'Souza, principal of Lourdes Central School in a press note.
It is the most awaited and momentous event in the city of Mangaluru, which all are eagerly awaiting to witness.
