Mangaluru, Jan 20: MLA Vedavyas Kamath reacted to former MLA J R Lobo stating that the latter should have been more aware about the deemed forest issue on the Shaktinagar housing project and had instead pushed people into confusion.
Addressing media persons here on Friday, January 20, he said the mistake is now being rectified.
"I will release a document pertaining to developmental works of south constituency with the dates and will release in the right time and make sure it reaches every individual. The housing project remained incomplete during Lobo's tenure. If I had wished to politicise it, the project could have been shelved and a new project initiated in its place. But, I wished to continue the project so that people are not left high and dry. Even title deeds were given away to 900 families of Bengre after resolving certain issues," he said.
He said as part of BJP's Vijaya Sankalpa Abhiyana being held from January 21 to 29 the developmental programmes of south constituency will reach every individual through distribution of brochures explaining the government's achievements to households and many others.
BJP leaders Vijay Kumar Shetty, former president of Fisheries Corporation Nithin Kumar, Kiran Rai, Ramesh Hegde and others were present.
