Udupi, May 28: Religious scriptures and its values must influence our life and then only we can be successful. Any system of life other than this is like a body without soul, said professor Moulana Dr Syed Ahmed Umari.
He was addressing the gathering in Jamia Masjid here and was present for Jamate Islami Hind district level programme. "On one side , when we read our holy book, we are counting the blessings we get , paradoxically the book which stresses so much on moral values and when we analyze our life it is devoid of it and is inclined towards the hell were the words expressed by him in a very sad manner.
Akbar Ali, who is the state secretary of HRS spoke on the topic- current political scenario. He said that we all know how our political system has degraded and no need of giving an explanation on thus as we all know the matter as black and white. He further added that Karnataka vidhana sabha has come to streets. Every year we vote and elect some one, after election they never respond to us, he said.
He further said, "Incapable politicians, who are weakening our democracy where 90% of the wealth of the country is in hands of just 10% people and the rest 10% of wealth in the hand of 90% people. More than 50% of people in our country cannot afford meal twice a day. The cases pending in our courts might take more than 300 years to be solved and the justice to be delivered. What is this situation? Is it worth to sit quite amongst this ? these were the several questions posed by him to the audience. He further added that we must definitely stand up against this unjust and violent system, and change it to a peaceful and just system. We must join hands with the people who have set out on this mission. That is the reason you must cooperate with us, he explained.
Moulana Rashid Ahmed Umari , who is the khateeb of Abubakker Siddiq Masjid Malpe, spoke a few words on the light of Quran.
