Mangaluru, Dec 27: "Hemacharya was known for ethical journalism and he never compromised in it. A Series of sad incidents happened in his life. But he was never demotivated nor not caught by negative thoughts. Being a secular minded person, he tried to find a solution for all sorrows which dominated his life and tried to overcome them with his positive attitude. 'Sarva Dharma Sangama,' the rehabilitation center for drug addicts by Ian Cares Foundation is the result of his positive thinking. Today we are happy to witness that the Ian Cares Foundation inaugurated its own rehabilitation home for drug addicts,” said Mahabaleshwara M, managing director and CEO of Karnataka Bank. He was speaking after inaugurating the ‘Sarva Dharma Sangama,’ a rehabilitation wing of Ian Cares Foundation on Tuesday, December 27.
"As per the slogan of 'Say No to Drugs' should start from our families only. In the matter of consumption of alcohol and drugs, the family members themselves should become the counselors for each other. We, in our families itself, should create an atmosphere of zero drug and zero alcohol abuse. I wish the goal of 'Sarva Dharma Sangama’ will be achieved and the facility which was inaugurated today will be used for the needy," he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Walter Nandalike, founder, Daijiworld Media Group said, " Nowadays people are living like they do not have death for another 500 years. They are in the race to increase their wealth by ignoring all relationships which connect them to the society. But in reality, one day they will leave this world without making any impact on society . They will disappear without a name. Living without a good name or having any positive impact in society is useless and sometimes it will become a burden for this earth. Knowing this, with the intention of giving back something to society, Hemacharya and his daughter Ina started the Ian Cares Foundation. It is time for us to join hands with them and appreciate them."
