Mangalore, May 26: Heavy rain coupled with lightning and thunder was experienced in Sullia, Subrahmanya, and nearby villages on Wednesday May 25 night. Many other places in the twin-districts including parts of the city received some showers on Wednesday afternoon.

Lightning struck the house of Abdul Rehman in Nettar, Sullia, on Wednesday night. Electrical equipments were damaged and a wall developed cracks as a result. Abdul suffered minor injuries in the incident.
