Mangalore: Konkani Pustak Jatra, Book Fair Inaugurated

Mangalore, May 23: Deputy speaker N Yogish Bhat inaugurated Konkani Book Fair at Sahitya Kendra, P M Rao Road here on Sunday May 22.

During the inaugural function of the fair, an online Konkani Shoppe installed by World Konkani Centre on their Website www.vishwakonkani.org was also launched by Vasudev Kamath, Infosys Technologies Ltd. The fair is a joint effort by World Konkani Centre and Sahitya Kendra, Mangalore for the promotion of Konkani Literature.

Hundreds of Konkani Titles in Devnagari, Kannada and Romi Scripts are exhibited at the fair from publishers across the coastal region of Goa, Karnataka and Kerala. Online Konkani Shoppe installed world Konkani Centre on its website www.vishwakonkani.org is first online shoppe for Konkani Books.
