Bangalore: IPL Cricket Betting Racket Unearthed


Bangalore, May 22 (PTI): Two persons were arrested here for allegedly running a betting racket in connection with the IPL match between Kings XI Punjab and Deccan Chargers, police said on Sunday.

N Vikas (40) and K M Muralidhara (49) were arrested following a raid at an association club located on the St Marks road yesterday, police said.

A sum of Rs 2,55,370, three mobile phones and a colour TV were seized during the raid, they added.

However, they persons managed to flee the scene.

Vikas and Muralidhara have already been booked for a similar offence in the past, police said.
