Puttur: Man Dies in Bike-Jeep Collision

Puttur,May 20: A person named Venkatesh Shenoy (50), son of Narasimha Shenoy, resident of Missiongudde here, and working for Mega Plastic at Bolwar here, lost his life in an accident that occurred on the night of Wednesday May 18. The tragedy occurred after the motor bike he was pushing along was hit by a speeding jeep.

Shenoy, a native of Kanhangad in Kerala, was returning home after his work hours on Wednesday night, when the accident occurred.

As his motor bike had developed some problems, Venkatesh Shenoy was pushing the same towards his home, when a jeep moving towards Bannur hit his motor bike. Along with the motor bike, Shenoy fell to the road, suffering severe head injuries as his head banged against the road. He was provided treatment in a hospital here, and was being taken to Mangalore for advanced treatment, when he breathed his last.

A case was registered in the traffic police station here in this respect.
