Beltangady, May 19: A resident of Puduvettu near Dharmasthala, who was employed in a bank in Mangalore, has committed suicide. The body of Ananta Padmanabha (31) from the village was found in his native place on Wednesday May 18.
On Tuesday, a missing complaint about him had been filed in a police station in Mangalore.
A suicide note was recovered from the shirt pocket of Padmanabha’s body, which says that he had decided to end his life, having been unable to address his inclination towards negative thinking. “I was unable to laugh. My smile was artificial. I could have married a girl, but I thought her life too would turn miserable because of me. Hence I have decided to die,” he said in the said note.
Beltangady police have registered a case. Investigation has been taken up.
