Beltangady: Annual Progress Review Meet of State Yoga, Naturopathy Clinics Held

Beltangady, May 17: The annual progress review meet of state yoga and naturopathy clinics that have been started for the first time in ten taluk centres of ten districts in the state was held at the aegis of National Rural Health Mission – New Delhi, Karnataka directorate of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH), Shanthi Vana Trust – Dharmasthala, at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) auditorium here, recently.

SKDRDP chairman Dr Veerendra Heggade presided. Ayush directorate of Yoga and Naturopathy deputy director Dr V P Satish was the chief guest.

Dr Satish said that he had visited all the ten centres and shared his experience.  Meanwhile, he assured them that he would try to approve ten more centres in the state.

The medical officers of respective Centres presented progress report and the response of patients who come for treatment.

Dr Heggade expressed happiness over the working of officials and staff.  He also announced to open new clinics in ten taluk centres in the current year.

The employees of Ayush department of Shanthi Vana Trust felicitated Dr Heggade on bagging Karnataka Ratna.

Shanthi Vana Trust secretary Sitaram Tholpadittaya, SDM Naturopathy and Yoga Science College principal Dr Prashant Shetty, medical officers of all the ten centres and managers were present.

AYUSH department administrator M N Manjunat compered the programme.  Dr Amarayya proposed the vote of thanks.
