Hubli, May 16: Melver Lobo, SSLC student of St Michael’s School, Keshwapur, here has been selected to represent the state at the 62nd Junior National level Basketball Championship, which will be held at Nagpur from Friday May 27 to Thursday June 2.

He has already represented the state under 17 Basketball team which secured fifth place in 56th National School Games Basketball Championship 2010 – 11 held in December 2010 at Kolhunder seventeen boys Netball team which secured forth place in National level Netball Championship held at New Delhi in January 2011.

He has excelled in academics by securing 95 percent in SSLC examination held in April 2011, bagged eighth rank in Karnataka Talent Search Examination (KTSE) held by Shikshana Wikas Anveshana Pratishtan (SWAP), Dharwad in 2010, bagged fifth rank in National level of 12th International level Science Talent Examination in International science talent examination during 2010.
