Karkala: Naravi Accident - Two Dead Boys Identified

Karkala, May 16: The boys who died in the ill-fated acident at Hosmar on Saturday May 14 have been identified as Rohan D'Souza (16) and Vasant (17).

Rohan is son of Leo D'Souza, a resident near Naravi Church and Vasant is son of Sooru, a resident near Didimbiri of Bajagoli. Sudeesh, the injured is recovering at the Wenlock Hospital, Mangalore.

Details of the Accident

Rohan and Sudeesh are the students of Naravi school and Vasant, a coolie worker. Vasant had been to Naravi temple fair that is being held since a week as Naravi was where Vasant's grandmother stayed. All the three had been to the Naravi temple fair on Saturday and on the way back planned to go to Hosmar to get Sudeesh's clothes from the tailor. Hence they all boarded the bus to Hosmar.

Driver of the bus has stated that the rear of the bus hit a electric pole while giving way to a bus coming from the opposite direction near Hosmar bridge. The boys, Rohan and Vasant, who were on the footboard were critically injured and fell off the bus. Sudeesh, who was on the rear seat too was injured as an impact of accident. Karkala rural station has registered a case in this regard.
