Udupi: Amarnath Shetty Inaugurates Katpady Bunts Sangha

Udupi, May 15: "Leadership qualities are embodied in the Bunts community and a majority of Tuluva programmes are being held under the leadership of Bunts," said Amarnath Shetty, president, Mangalore Bunts Matra Sangha.

He was speaking after inaugurating the newly-formed Katpady Bunts Sangha under the aegis of Shirva Bunts Sangha, during a function held at A R Kamath Memorial Auditorium of Venkataramana temple, Katpady, near here, on Saturday May 14.

Shetty called on the community's organizations to lay more emphasis on educating their brethren.

Shirva Bunts Sangha president Sacchidanand Hegde presided over the programme.

Former minister Jayaprakash Hegde, Dr N S Shetty, Mumbai ACP Susheel Chittaranjan Shetty, Bellary entrepreneur Suresh Shetty Gurme, Katpady Bunts Sangha honorary president Dayanand V Shetty, advisor Dr A Ravindranath Shetty, Kaup Bunts Sangha president Bavuguttu Sacchidanand Shetty, and women's wing president Anasuya S Shetty were present on the dais.

Katpady Bunts Sangha president Kurkalu Dinakar Shetty welcomed the gathering. Advisor Dr A Ravindranath Shetty delivered the introductory address. Secretary Uday Shetty Kurkalu read the report and Ranjan Hegde proposed the vote of thanks.
