Moodbidri: BJP Leader Jagdish Adhikari's Brother Loses Life in Bike Accident

Daijiworld Media Network - Moodbidri

Moodbidri, May 15: BJP district vice-president K P Jagdish Adhikari's brother Lakshmikant Adhikari lost his life in an accident near Karkala on Sunday May 15 evening.

The accident occured when a KSRTC bus rammed against the bike he was riding while on his way from Daregudde to Karkala. However, no one came to his help and he had to wait for more than 15 minutes before he was taken to hospital by his friends, who had heard the news by then.

But the worse was yet to come. The hospital could not treat him, and in what can be regarded as utter carelessness by the hospital, the ambulance which was to take Lakshmikant to Mangalore for treatment ran out of diesel and had to stop for refuel at a petrol station. By then Lakshmikant's condition had worsened.

An ambulance was then rushed from Moodbidri which brought him to Mangalore, but it was too late. Lakshmikant passed away owing to the severe injuries.
