First Ever Tourism Portal VirtualMangalore.com Launched

Mangalore, May 14: The official launch of virtualmangalore.com, a tourism website that gives 360 degree view to navigate around the places of interest was held at press club here on Saturday May 14.

Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project chief executive officer Yathish Baikampady inaugurated the website.

Aravind Prabhu, director/CEO of Sequoya Software Solutions said that this initiation aims to promote tourism in the city by providing its visitors a one-stop solution to plan their holiday.

The browsing of this portal will also prove a fascinating experience for visitors with sound effect enhancing the sense of realism without actually travelling there. VirtualMangalore.com has went live on April 25 last and has attracted more than 5000 visitors all over the globe.

As part of its ‘Go Green’ initiative VirtualMangalore team has decided to provide waste bins for the tourist spots. The portal has interesting features like automated tour planers, more virtual tours and hotel reservation system among others.

    Congratulations to launch virtualmangalore.com.
    I hope that lots of people, who are interested in M´lore will vivit this website and enjoy browsing it.
    Many will be interested in Mangalore and decide to visit the city and to stay for some days before going to other places in Karnataka.
    Mangalore has a lot to offer.
    The website aims to promote tourism in the city by providing its visitors a one-stop solution to plan their holiday.
    It is a good idea and I am sure there will be an increase of tourists in Mangalore.
