Mangalore, May 14: Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejavar Mutt expressed the firm opinion that religion should percolate through caste and community divisions, and spread to even the bottom-most levels, without getting concentrated in certain parts of the society. Like other resources, it is desirable that religion too touches every life and be available to everyone in spite of what he is and to which group the beneficiary belongs to, he stressed.
He was delivering a discourse at the ‘Santa Sangama’ programme organized at Sri Durga Temple of Kadekar Guruvana on Friday May 13. He lamented the fact that wealth, industries, entrepreneurship and education at present, are concentrated only among certain sections of the society. He stressed that these things, along with religion, should properly and equally get distributed among all the layers of the society.
Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Odiyoor, Sri Vidyavallabhateertha Swamiji of Kaniyoor Mutt, Sri Kalahastendra Saraswati Swamiji of Katapadi Anegundi Mutt, Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurpur Vajradehi Mutt, Kolya Sri Ramananda Swamiji, Kemar Sri Esha Vittaladasa Swamiji, Sri Mohanadasa Swamiji of Manila, Kondevoor Sri Yogananda Saraswati Swamiji, Sri Brahmananda Saraswati Swamiji of Kanyadi, and Sri Narendranatha Yogishwareshwara Swamiji of Marakada Parashakti Mutt, delivered benedictory addresses on the occasion.
Sri Vidyaprasannateertha Swamiji of Subrahmanya Mutt presided. District in-charge minister and Brahmakalashotsava Samiti honorary president, Krishna J Palemar, and state primary and secondary education minister, Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, were present.
