Mangalore, May 13: “Power, position or wealth will not remain for ever. However, the good deeds we do will be with us for ever,” opined former union minister, B Janardhan Poojary. He was speaking at the religious meeting organized on the occasion of consecration, Brahmakalashotsava, and Ashtapavitra Nagamandala organized at Kadekar Mallikarjun Temple complex in Jeppinamogeru Guruvana Durga Kshetra near here on Thursday May 12 evening.
“Temples do not belong to any particular castes or communities. There is no scope for the feeling of superiority or inferiority as compared to others in temples. A temple, a mosque, and a church should be established in every village. If religious centres of all the religions are built, religion gets established in such places,” he felt.
Noting that there is a tendency among the student community to commit suicide when they fail in important public examinations, he said it was wrong. He felt that this problem can be effectively addressed, if the parents create a sense of reverence, fear, and faith in God’s powers among the children since a young age. He also said that there is a need to strictly follow the principles of righteousness to stop permeation of corruption in politics, Mutts, education, medical, and legal sectors.
Narendranath Yogishwareshwara Swamiji of Marakada Parashakti Mutt delivered benedictory address. District in-charge minister, Krishna J Palemar, city mayor, Pravin, Karnataka Bank non-executive chairman, Anantakrishna, SCDCC Bank chairman, M N Rajendra Kumar, Sagar Group of Hotels managing director, Jayaram Bannan, Pramod Madhwaraj, Devanand Shetty, K C Naik, and several others were present on the occasion.
