Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (SP)

Puttur, May 13: After a motor bike accidentally hit a protective wall of a drain near Neerakatte in Bajattur village on national highway 48 near Uppinangady on the night of Wednesday May 11, the bike rider died on the spot. Narendra Shetty (33), son of Gopalakrishna Shetty from Bellare in Sullia taluk, met a tragic death in this fashion.

Narendra was working as a supervisor in an estate in Sakleshpur. He was coming towards Uppinangady in his two-wheeler at the time of the tragedy. It is learnt that he was going to a relative’s house in Vittal in Bantwal taluk, as his wife was there since the last some days.

It is surmised that Narendra would have suddenly lost control over his bike as he approached the drain in question. Due to the impact of the accident, he was tossed to the roadside drain. While falling, his head got smashed against a boulder, and he lost his life. The accident came to light after some time, as no one had seen it happening.
