Mangaluru, Nov 8: Department of Automobile Engineering of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, organized a one day Mega Event 'Auto Expo', which was open for the students and public on November 5, in the Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil campus. Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro chancellor, Srinivas University, vice president, A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru was the chief guest for the inaugural function and Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor, Srinivas University, president, A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru, was the president of the function. Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru was also present in the function.

Speaking on the occasion Dr A Srinivas Rao, explained different technologies adopted in the latest vehicles. He also highlighted the growth of Automobile industries in India.

Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, who presided over the function, congratulated the students for organizing the mega event and advised the students to update their knowledge in the ever changing technology in Automobile sector.

Dr Gangadhara Rao, professor, department of Aeronautical engineering encouraged the expo activities and also advised the students to take such technical activities to a much higher level.

Rohan M K, student of Automobile Engineering welcomed the gathering and vote of thanks was given by Jerome Anthony, associate professor, department of Automobile Engineering. Prithesh Shetty and Abhishek Rao, students of Automobile Engineering, was the Master of ceremony of the event.

The mega event was coordinated by Jerome Anthony and Prakash S T, faculty advisors of Automobile Department. More than 70Modern, Vintage and Exotic cars, jeeps Super Bikes were on display in the event. The event was successfully completed with the support of Dr Ramakrishna N Hegde, HOD Department of Automobile Engineering, faculties of Automobile and Aeronautical Department, Principal and the Management.
