Karkala, May 11: A pedestrian, who was hit by a tempo trax vehicle from behind while she was walking by the road at Malladka in Andar near Ajeakar on Tuesday May 10, suffered grievous injuries. She lost her life shortly thereafter.
The woman in question has been identified as Sanjeevi Nayak (63). The tempo, after hitting the woman, fell sideways. The locals called the emergency ambulance and arranged for admitting her into the government hospital in the town, but she could not be saved.
Sanjeevi, wife of the late Chandru Nayak from Andar village, was an agriculturist by profession. She lived alone, as she did not have any children.
