Udupi: Truck Loses Control at Santekatte - Disrupts Traffic

Media Release

Udupi, May 10: A truck on Tuesday May 10 lost control in front of Vignesh Electricls here on Malpe - Ashirvad road and disrupted traffic on highway for a while.

Crashing on a stationery van that was parked in front of a shop, the truck fell into a sewage pit losing its front tyre.

Santekatte, a busy place with many enterprises having a junction that connects east to west and north to south, has a high traffic density that people cannot even cross the roads from either side of the road as there are many people on both eastern and western side of the highway.

Many children here need to wait for long until they find room to speed across while it is school time at around 9.00 am. The time is considered very risky for anyone and the evening is worse due to the dusk and darkness that blankets the roads making every road user blind.
