Mangalore: ‘Get Jailed, Do Not Commit Suicide’ – DVS to Kumaraswamy

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, May 10: “Let former Chief Minister, H D Kumaraswamy, not hang himself as he had announced recently, in case Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa proves misuse of power by the former Chief Minister and his father, Deve Gowda. If he chooses to tighten noose around his neck, it may become a messy affair. Therefore, I advise him to go to jail instead,” said MP, Sadanand Gowda. He was addressing a press conference here on Monday May 9, after releasing a report prepared by the BJP about those responsible for the mining mess in the state.

Gowda was reacting to a challenge posed by Kumaraswamy as above. Commenting that the JDS looks like having been decimated from the state, he ridiculed the claim of JDS national and state presidents of undertaking a non-political agitation against the BJP-led state government. He said that the father-son duo has been trying to reach the shore from a sinking ship, and analyzed that Kumaraswamy has got stuck in the web woven by him for others.

“Congress, having suffered after its Bellary Padayatra, has now undertaken ‘Raj Bhavan Chalo’ agitation almost everyday. The Governor, who forgot the responsibility vested with him by the constitution, was earlier targeting the BJP. Now he has fallen silent. Congress too is struggling to save its identity,” he remarked.

BJP leaders, Nalin Kumar Kateel, Ganesh Karnik, Nitin Kumar, K Padmanabh Kottary, Devadas, and K T Shylaja Bhat were present.
