Bengaluru, Oct 20: The death case of Paresh Mestha that occurred at Kumta, Uttara Kannada district has climbed the steps of Vidhana Soudha. Kamalakar Mestha the father of late Paresh Mestha personally submitted a request to chief minister Basavaraj Bommai at the chief minister’s office here today saying that the death of his son was unnatural.
“The CBI has submitted a B report stating that there is lack of evidence depriving me of justice. Four months had elapsed since the case was handed over to the CBI and the evidence was destroyed. As there is a need for more detailed investigations, the CBI should be directed to reinvestigate the case,” he stated.
The chief minister who listened to him, said that the government understands his pain as a father. “Suitable action will be taken regarding the reinvestigation of the case,” he assured.
Uttara Kannada district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, labour minister Shivaram Hebbar, fisheries minister S Angara, MLA Dinaker Shetty, Sunil Nayak and Kumar Narayana Markande were also present.
