Udupi: Train Knocks Down Pedestrian

Udupi, May 4: Jabba Poojary (80), a resident of Beloorjaddu of Handadi village in Brahmavar in the district was killed, after he was knocked down by a passing train, on Tuesday May 3.

Reportedly, Poojary was walking on the railway tracks at the time, and did not hear the sound of the oncoming train because of hearing loss. The accident occurred near the railway bridge located in Narnadu village of Uppoor village near Brahmavar.

A report in this connection was filed in Brahmavar police station.
