Mangalore: Petty Shop Vendors Demand Justice

Mangalore, May 2: Minorities and Backward Caste Petty Vendors' Association here on Monday May 2 are organizing a daylong hunger strike in front of the office of deputy commissioner's office.

The protestors demanded immediate help for the footpath vendors and petty shop owners. They alleged that Mangalore City Corporation has been meting out injustice to teh class. The protest is the way of attracting the attention of the centre and state government towards the problems of the vendors.

JDS general secretary M G Hegde among others addressed the protestors.
